Quick Start Guide: Yealink T33G Phone
This guide will help you quickly understand and use the features of your Yealink T33G phone.
Hardware
Powering the Device
Your desk phone can be powered in two ways:
1. Power Over Ethernet (PoE)
- Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of the WP825.
- Plug the other end into a PoE-enabled network switch or PoE injector.
- The Ethernet cable will provide both power and network connectivity.
- Ideal for reducing cable clutter and ensuring the phone stays powered while on its base.
2. Power Adapter
- Plug the provided power adapter into the DC input on the charging base.
- Connect the other end of the adapter to a power outlet.
- For network access, connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the charging base and to your network.
Built-in Switch: PC/LAN Ports
The T54W includes a built-in network switch with two ports:
- Connect your network cable to the LAN port on the phone base.
- If you need to connect a computer or another device, use the PC port.
- This passes the network connection through to the second device.
- Note: Your desk phone itself consumes minimal bandwidth, so this setup should not negatively affect your speed.
Setting Up Your New Phone
- Ensure Proper Power and Network Connectivity:
- If using PoE, check that the network switch or injector is powered and connected to your network.
- If using a power adapter, verify the connection to the outlet and base.
- Connect to Wi-Fi (if needed):
- On the phone, go to Menu > Settings > Network > Wi-Fi.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Test the Setup:
- Make a test call to ensure the phone is properly connected to our VoIP system.
Quick Tips for Reliable Setup
- For PoE: Ensure your switch or injector supports the required PoE standard (IEEE 802.3af).
- For Wired Connectivity: Use high-quality Ethernet cables (CAT5e or better) for stable connections.
